After visiting the Tower, symbol of Paris and France, we offered a couple of our dolls and a nastaligh calligraphy painting signed by a master from Badroud and Artistic Director of the Dr. Rahgoshay Museum, Mr. Said Yazdanmehr. This painting, associating the drawing and the harmony of the characters, represents the Eiffel Tower.
The Eiffel Tower was built by Gustave Eiffel on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition of 1889 which celebrated the first centenary of the French Revolution. Its construction in 2 years, 2 months and 5 days, was a real technical and architectural performance. "Utopia realized", technological feat, it was at the end of the 19th century the demonstration of the French genius embodied by Gustave Eiffel, a highlight of the industrial era. It was immediately immensely successful.
Intended to last only 20 years, it was saved by the scientific experiments that Eiffel favored and in particular the first radiographic transmissions, then telecommunications: radio signals from the Tower to the Pantheon in 1898, military radio station in 1903, first radio broadcast Public in 1925, then television until DTT more recently.
Since the 1980s, the monument has been regularly renovated, restored and fitted out for an ever-increasing number of visitors.
Over the decades, the Eiffel Tower has seen exploits, extraordinary illuminations and prestigious visitors. A mythical, audacious site, it has always inspired artists and challenges.
It is the scene of numerous events of international significance (highlights, centenary of the Tower, pyrotechnic show of the year 2000, painting campaigns, twinkling, Blue Tower for the French Presidency of the European Union or multicolored for its 120 Years, unusual installations such as an ice rink, a garden ...).
Universal, Tower of Babel, nearly 250 million visitors, regardless of age or origin came from all over the world to discover it since its opening in 1889.
Like all the towers, it allows to see and be seen: spectacular ascent, unique panorama on Paris, sign radiating in the sky of the Capital.
The Tower is also the magic of light. Its lighting, its sparkle and its lighthouse radiate and renew the dream every night.
A symbol of France in the world, it is the showcase of Paris, today it welcomes nearly 7 million visitors per year (about 75% of which are foreigners), making it the most visited monument in the world.
