For the first time, Iran hosted the Convention of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations.
This gathering, attended by President Hassan Rouhani, welcomed personalities from the world of tourism in 40 countries and more than 350 tourist guides. The convention aims to bring people from different countries together by presenting their exceptional tourist attractions. Participants: Mrs. Zahra Ahmadipour, Assistant to the President - Organization for the Cultural Heritage, Mrs. Felicitas Wressnig, President of WFTGA, Mr.Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of UNWTO, Mr. Arash Nooraghaye, President of the Iranian Federation of Tourist Guides and Professor Jafar Jafari, Professor Emeritus of the University of Wisconsin-Stout Mrs. Myriam Goetz-Rahgoshay, as Director of Dr. Rahgoshay's Private Museum, was also invited to this meeting.
